Capslock

He burned inside. He reacted to it on impulse. Aggression and intent are opposed to each other unless aggression is the intent.

His day had started so well too. He’d woken up today to find himself with a girl.

Damn if he wasn’t hungry. The shopping mall he was in had to have a food court. He turned to satisfy hunger’s call. There’s the elevator. Doors are closing and he runs. “Hold the door.” The other acts as if he didn’t hear him. Fuck! He missed the elevator. His lip curls at the thought of the man behind the closing door. He bursts into action. He runs to the stairwell and up to where the elevator doors opened. He charges the door and corners the other man. He shouts:

What the fuck! What’s wrong with you? Motherfucker, apologize.

The other looks at him with disdain and anger visible on his visage.

You can back the fuck off, rando.

The words worked magnificently and the speaker was swung on. It missed but the second one didn’t. He dropped his bag and threw up his arms in defense against a hail of blows after this.

Hold the fuckin door next time asshole.

The other took out is headphones as his attacker raced away, presumably leaving the building. He sat by the elevator door and reached for his nose to find his face painted red.

I am a person who is slowly beginning to understand the power words have in altering the very nature of the world people exist in. I did not have skilled speech when I was growing up but I did have the ability to write and talk with my written voice. I have learned and elevated my spoken voice over time but am ever improving as I learn new ways to produce the effects upon people I desire. It is not about controlling other people that I learn but about walking the path I want to in this interconnected world.
